From Global Clinics to Virginia: The Journey of Dr. Attique Samdani, MD

Dr. Attique Samdani began his medical journey in Peshawar, Pakistan, graduating from Khyber Medical College in 1990 with his MBBS degree. This early training rooted him in a rigorous system and prepared him for global practice. Following his graduation, Dr. Samdani moved to the United States, where he pursued a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona, completing it around 1998. He then advanced to a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Virginia, finishing circa 2001, marking his transition from local clinician to cancer specialist. A 25+-Year U.S. Career in Cancer Care Dr. Samdani ventured into his career in Richmond, Virginia, after his fellowship, joining the Virginia Cancer Institute in 2001. He worked mainly in Johnston-Willis and St. Francis ( Bon Secours) hospitals.
